A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That
I had a wonderful evening tonight. I'm still sugared up from the ice cream that I had so I decided to use this time to share some recent events. I really should be in bed since I have activities planed for tomorrow, but the ice cream was definitely worth it.
Tonight, I went out with Amy and her sister to see 'The Winters Tale'. The play was held outside and it was a fabulous night, perfect for sitting and enjoying a play. It was a neat experience because up to this point I have only witnessed a live production of a Shakespeare play in a theatre. This time it was outside and it allowed me to imagine what it was like to watch one of his plays at the Globe Theatre. The people that gathered to see the play fascinated me. The crowd was a mixture of families and artistic people. My favorite part was spending time with Amy, she's a great gal. It's really neat that we have a lot of common interest and experiences. I'm grateful that our paths have crossed.
I finally received word from my cousin today. She is currently working on an article for the NYTimes. She has been over seas for about two weeks gathering material for her article and she won't be back home for another two weeks. I was getting a little concerned that she hasn't contacted anyone about her arrival or about any good/bad news. Hearing her voice calmed some of my worries.
This morning I worked half a day and it was so nice. I'm going to miss it when all of the weeks of SAS are over. SAS is truly a wonderful gift that my job gives us during the summer. Speaking of work, I had a wonderful conversation with my boss today. Doors are opening in areas and shutting in others. I'm not ready to go into a deep discussion about it, but good things are happening.
I've only got one more math class to attend for the GRE and then it's off to learn about the Analogies and the writing portion. I don't know about the rest of the class, but I get to sigh a huge sigh of relief. Aren't hurdles so much fun?
